In 2022, Yum! made the strategic decision to shift from their supplier audit program to GFSI-recognized third-party certification, which must be achieved by 2025.
FSSC 22000 is among the certification schemes recognized by Yum! for their suppliers. Additionally, the FSSC 22000 Development Program is available to suppliers who prefer a stepping-stone program to attain full FSSC 22000 certification.
FSSC 22000 provides a certification scheme for auditing and certifying food safety management systems, ensuring the delivery of safe food, feed, and packaging to the consumer goods industry. FSSC 22000 is one of the world’s largest global food safety certification schemes, with more than 30,000 certified organizations in over 170 countries. Our certification bodies and we are available to support Yum! suppliers in meeting the FSSC 22000 requirements.
